The piece that makes a coffee table look like it belongs in a gallery. Deep royal blue glass encased in thick clear crystal — that layered, submerged colour effect is the Sommerso technique that Murano glassmakers made famous. Hold it up to the light and the blue glows. Set it down and it casts a violet shadow on whatever surface it sits on.
It doesn't need anything in it. That's the test of a good bowl — it looks better empty than most things look full. Put it on a sideboard, a dining table, or a shelf and it quietly becomes the thing everyone's eyes go to first.
The organic, slightly asymmetric shape is part of the charm. This was made by hand, blown and shaped while molten. No two pieces are identical and no machine could produce this.
Very good condition for its age. There's a small chip on the underside of the base — not visible during normal use and shown in the last photo. Everything else is flawless.
