BC Møbler stamped their name underneath, and the build tells you why. This kind of lift-and-extend engineering was a genuine specialism among smaller Danish workshops in the 1960s, built for exactly this problem — small flats needing furniture that could do more than one job. The mechanism itself is worth studying in the photos: clean rails, solid joinery, nothing flimsy holding it together.
Solid teak throughout, with elegant tapered legs that splay out just enough to look confident rather than spindly. The grain across the top is warm and consistent in every shot — the kind of teak that photographs well from any angle and looks even better in person.
Worth knowing: the lift mechanism wants a firm, confident pull rather than a gentle nudge. Once it's up, it locks solid with no play in either the coffee or dining position.
